Sizzling? Teach you to turn off annoying currents!

Yesterday, a small partner left a message saying that his computer is always making buzzing sounds. It's not very annoying, but he mentioned that magnets might be affecting the speakers. However, after thinking about it again, I realized that there's no product that is completely non-magnetic. Xiao Bian was also curious and decided to test it on his own computer based on the situation described by the partner. Eventually, we found the problem and now I'm sharing the solution so others who are facing the same issue can benefit from it!

First, right-click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar and select "Sounds" or "Playback Devices."

In the Sound window, right-click on the playback device you're currently using and choose "Properties." Be sure to select the correct output device—usually the one with a green checkmark next to it.

On the next screen, switch to the "Levels" tab. If you haven't installed a sound card driver and are relying solely on the system's built-in driver, you might not see the microphone option here. That’s why it's important to install the correct drivers for your hardware.

Once the driver is properly installed, the "Microphone" option should appear under the "Levels" tab. Adjust the slider all the way to the left, setting it to 0. Then click "OK" to save the changes.

After doing this, your computer should no longer make that annoying "zigs" or background noise when there's no sound playing. This is typically the microphone's background noise, especially common in laptops where the microphone is integrated into the chassis. Now you understand why this happens, right?
