Since the EDS-619 has 16 Fast ports and 3 Gigabit ports, two Gigabit ports are connected to each other to form a gigabit redundant ring network. Two Gigabit ports of the EDS-619 are respectively connected to the convergence layer switches. The main/standby network connection can effectively guarantee the overall gigabit communication performance and network transmission stability of the system. The EDS-619 is a modular design. The interface is hot-swappable, which greatly facilitates the autonomy of customers in collocation and selection.

The EMS system uses the concept of redundancy to improve the stability of data transmission. The two Gigabit ports of the EDS-619 form a Gigabit redundant ring network, support Turbo Ring, and self-healing time <20ms. In addition, two Gigabit ports of the two EDS-619s are respectively connected to different aggregation layer switches, one of which is set as the main connection link, and the other is set as the backup connection link. The data exchange is generally performed from the main connection link. When the main connection link fails or a switching device connected to the main connection link fails, the data exchange automatically switches to the standby link.
