Main Cause:

During the night, dew formation is common. High humidity leads to the creation of water mist in the air, and dew can accumulate on plant leaves. The terrain module or ultrasonic sensors located on the bottom of the P20 are vulnerable to contamination from this moisture. When the drone takes off or lands, the ultrasonic probe can come into contact with dew on the foliage, which affects its ability to accurately measure altitude.

This contamination can lead to unstable flight performance, especially when operating over fields with high humidity or dew accumulation. As a result, the drone might struggle to maintain a consistent height, potentially impacting both the effectiveness of the application and the safety of the operation.

Solution:

1. During nighttime operations, it's recommended to regularly inspect the surface of the ultrasonic probe for dew. If any moisture is detected, wipe it clean immediately to ensure accurate readings.

2. If possible, lower the drone’s flying height as much as safely feasible without compromising the effectiveness of the crop protection or the safety of the equipment. Setting the height to 2.1 or 2.2 meters can help reduce the impact of water mist on the ultrasonic signals, improving overall stability during flight.
