Bourns Introduces Standard AEC-Q200 Power Inductor Products
Bourns has launched three new series of AEC-Q200 compliant, high-current shielded power inductors designed to meet the rigorous demands of automotive and industrial applications. These inductors—PQ2614BLA, PQ2614BHA, and PQ2617BHA—are built with a flat wire winding design that delivers ultra-low DC and AC resistance, along with saturation currents exceeding 100 A. This innovative structure not only enhances performance but also allows for a compact and efficient solution, making them ideal for space-constrained designs.
The flat wire technology ensures minimal losses, which is crucial for improving efficiency in power conversion systems. These inductors are well-suited for use in automotive power systems, DC/DC converters, switching power supplies, and filtering applications across consumer electronics, industrial equipment, medical devices, and telecommunications infrastructure.
In addition to their electrical performance, these inductors feature a low-power, low-iron-loss ferrite core, which significantly boosts the efficiency of DC/DC converters. They are also mounted on a plastic base, enhancing mechanical stability and reliability in demanding environments. The devices operate over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +155°C, making them suitable for both extreme cold and high-temperature conditions.
With inductance values ranging from 1 μH to 33 μH, these inductors offer flexibility for a variety of applications. Their combination of high current handling, low resistance, and robust construction makes them an excellent choice for engineers looking for reliable and high-performance components in today’s advanced electronic systems. Whether you're working on automotive electronics or industrial power solutions, these inductors provide the performance and durability needed to meet modern design challenges.
