From June 2nd to June 3rd, AT&T hosted an important conference SHAPE at Time Warner's Warner Bros. Studio in California. The conference included cutting-edge technical presentations, artificial intelligence and immersive entertainment, a film awards ceremony, and a 5G presentation.

According to Melissa Arnoldi, President of AT&T Technology and Operations, this 5G-based virtual reality demonstration allows up to three participants in different locations to experience a concert together.

The partners of this 5G demonstration are Intel and Ericsson. They completed the first 5G test with AT&T in Austin, Texas.

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich also attended the June 3rd meeting and gave a speech. His presentation was titled "Immersive Media and 5G," which focused on how data and investments in 5G networks can be transformed to meet the growing demand for content and immersive entertainment experiences.

AT&T's Arnoldi said in a blog post that the 5G demo is a master of the two-year test. In addition to testing in Austin, AT&T conducted tests in Waco, Texas, South Bend, Indiana, and Kalamazoo, Michigan.

AT&T said it will launch mobile 5G networks in 12 US cities this year. AT&T's two headquarters are also among Atlanta and Dallas, in addition to Waco. AT&T will connect Wi-Fi devices to 5G networks at a tourist attraction in the city. The list of the remaining nine cities has not yet been announced.
