State Council promotes circuit and smart sensor development

The State Council last Wednesday released "Some Opinions on Promoting Information Consumption and Expanding Domestic Demand", proposing to strengthen the innovation capabilities of the electronic basic industry and giving priority to supporting the development of the three major industries of tablet, integrated circuit and smart sensor.

The opinions put forward that the implementation of flat panel display project, promote flat panel display industry bigger and stronger, accelerate the development of a new generation of display technology breakthroughs, improve the industry supporting capabilities. Supports the development and industrialization of smart sensors and system core technologies.

The integrated circuit has become a top priority, and the opinions put forward to focus on the whole machine and information applications, relying on national science and technology plans (funds, special projects) and major projects, to greatly enhance the integrated circuit design, manufacturing process technology level.

For the development of the integrated circuit industry, the State Council has specifically proposed to support local governments in exploring and developing integrated circuit financing reform models, using existing fiscal fund channels, encouraging and supporting qualified local governments to set up IC industry investment funds, and guiding social capital to invest in integrated circuit industries. Effectively solve the financing bottleneck of IC manufacturing companies.
