As shown, the sawtooth generator consists of a 555 single-stability circuit and a feedback bootstrap circuit.
The IC2 (LM741) operational amplifier is used as a feedback bootstrap circuit. The output voltage of the 6-pin is supplied to the charging current of the sawtooth voltage of C1 through R1. The current is determined by the clamp size of the Zener diode DW and the resistance of R1. The control terminal 5 of the 555 is externally connected with an adjustable control voltage to change the reference voltage value of the 555 internal comparator, that is, the comparison level, to change the period and amplitude of the sawtooth wave.
