On December 2nd, the 4th World Internet Conference and the Internet Light Expo kicked off in Wuzhen, Zhejiang. This year's event brought together over 400 leading global internet companies and innovative startups, offering a glimpse into the most recent advancements and cutting-edge technologies shaping the digital world. The exhibition was centered around the theme of the World Internet Conference: "Developing the Digital Economy, Promoting Openness and Sharing – Join Hands to Create a Community of Destiny in Cyberspace." It highlighted key areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, industrial internet, cybersecurity, smart society, e-commerce, and emerging unicorns. The expo featured various functional zones, including the development concept area, comprehensive exhibition zone, theme exhibition area, new product and technology release zone, and project cooperation negotiation area. These zones emphasized a global perspective, innovation-driven approaches, and open collaboration. Over 400 international and domestic tech giants participated, with notable names like Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, Huawei, Didi Chuxing, and even German company SAP. Alibaba’s booth showcased several innovations, including Tmall Elf, a new smart voice assistant, AR technology, Alibaba Cloud’s ET Brain, Ant Financial’s financial services, and Ant Forest, which uses blockchain for environmental protection and public welfare initiatives. Tencent displayed products that combined technology, traditional culture, and modern life. Highlights included the VR Museum, the "Hello Terracotta Warriors" digital heritage project, AI-powered medical tools like "Tenxun Yingying," and an intelligent service platform called "Tencent Cloud Xiaowei." Didi Chuxing presented its AI-based traffic management system, "Drop the Brain," which visualized real-time city traffic on large screens, offering insights into urban mobility. Sogou introduced its popular robot, Wangzai, alongside a Chinese lip language recognition system that utilized facial and lip recognition technology. The system was optimized through training with the search dog robot. Baidu and Huawei also had impressive booths, showcasing their latest developments in AI, cloud computing, and smart devices, reflecting the ever-evolving landscape of the digital world.
