I recently encountered an issue with a TCL Ace L42F3200E LCD TV. After booting up, the text and menu boxes appeared enlarged and inverted, which initially looked like a screen failure. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the LOGO pattern was moving normally, so the issue wasn't related to the display itself. According to online forums, this problem can be resolved by using the remote control to enter the image settings in the TV state. Once the cursor is on the contrast option, entering "1+9+5+0" would bring up the bus debugging screen. The customer had previously been told that the remote control was lost, and this issue had occurred multiple times before. Even after adjusting the remote control, the problem would return shortly after. Since there was no original remote control available for programming, several attempts were made with different remotes, but none provided a lasting solution. This led me to suspect that the issue might be related to the program stored in the 25F16 chip. After testing and trying various programs, I finally found one that worked. Once it was written and the system was restarted, everything returned to normal. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was still off—there were no signs of physical damage or overheating. To be thorough, I considered other possibilities, such as excessive power supply ripple on the motherboard or a faulty 25F16 chip. Using an oscilloscope, I checked the waveforms but didn’t find anything suspicious. Eventually, I decided to replace the 25F16 chip. I removed the original 25T16 and installed a new 25F16, programmed it, and cleaned the board thoroughly. After rebooting, the image was clear and bright, and the issue was completely resolved.
