The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized the need to accelerate the development of advanced manufacturing and promote the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, and the real economy. This clearly highlights that intelligent manufacturing is the core of future industrial development. As a major manufacturing province, Hunan must adapt to the demands of the new era by accelerating the full integration of manufacturing and informatization, transforming from a "manufacturing province" into a "smarter province."
Building a smart manufacturing province is essential for Hunan. First, it meets the people's growing demand for a better quality of life. With socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era, the main social contradiction has shifted to the imbalance between people’s aspirations for a better life and the current uneven development. To meet these needs, Hunan must prioritize people-centered values, drive quality, efficiency, and power changes in its manufacturing sector, and build a strong smart manufacturing province that delivers more innovative products and services.
Second, it is a necessary step to adapt to the development of the industrial internet. Emerging technologies like big data, IoT, cloud computing, and AI are increasingly integrated into manufacturing, reshaping production methods, resource allocation, product forms, and business models.
