A company encountered an issue with their analog electronic platform scales. When heavy vehicles were placed on the scale, it would often show an overload error. After a short reboot, it would return to normal operation.

Upon investigation, the problem was not related to the instrument itself. The weighing platform, connecting parts, and limit switches all appeared to be in good condition, so mechanical issues were ruled out. Next, we carefully checked all the solder joints on the terminal block, eliminating any issues with desoldering or poor connections.

Using the wire-drawing method and component swapping, we identified a faulty sensor. Further inspection revealed that the positive signal line of one sensor had a break. Sometimes, when the line made contact with the meter, it would display correctly, but when disconnected, it would trigger a negative overload warning.

The solution was to cut the faulty sensor’s signal line and re-solder the joint. This restored full functionality to the weighbridge system, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.
