The first cooperation between the two sides promoted LED pilot project

Taiwan Optoelectronics Semiconductor Industry Association and China National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance have jointly promoted pilot LED lighting demonstrations in mainland China. Taiwan and mainland LED manufacturers will share business opportunities brought by pilot projects.

Relevant person in charge said that this is the first time that the Taiwanese factory has cooperated with Chinese manufacturers. The pilot project is to use the streetlight lighting in the Torch Park Industrial Zone in Xiamen and the subway lighting improvement project in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province as two pilot sites. The operators will begin in January 2011. Xiamen has completed the initial large-scale streetlight plan, and will expand the pilot area in the future, with business opportunities estimated at several billion yuan. The Xiamen street lamp project will be submitted to bidders in the form of a bid, and it is expected that the construction will be completed before the Lunar New Year in 2011. The LED lighting of the subway station in Guangzhou is expected to reach more than 20,000 LED lights, and it is expected to begin execution in the second half of 2011.

The participating companies include Taiwan Plant Jingdian (2448), Yiguang (2393), Guangbao (2301)'s Guanglin, Lunda (3698), Delta Electronics (2308), etc. Chinese manufacturers have US GE. The investment was Xiamen Topstar, Bird Nest lighting system supplier Beijing Liangye Lighting and Hangzhou Shilan Mingxin.
