First 500 Series Mobile Graphics Announced

First 500 Series Mobile Graphics Announced NVIDIA quietly announced the GeForce GT 540M, the first mobile graphics product of the GeForce 500 series. It can be expected that this new product is not a new architecture, but it is the same as the desktop GeForce 500 series. It has been renamed after fine-tuning improvements under the Fermi architecture.

The GeForce GT 540M is similar in size to the GeForce GT 435M and has 96 CUDA cores and 128bit of video memory. In the case of “more mature manufacturing process”, its core frequency is increased to 672MHz, Shader frequency is 1344Mhz, and the maximum memory frequency is 900MHz. Of course, N-card proprietary technologies such as Optimus, CUDA, PhysX, 3D Vision, and 3DTV Play will not be absent from the GT 540M.

Before the release of Intel’s next-generation mobile platform called Hurun River, the GeForce GT 540M will be matched with the Arrandale platform, first sold in the Chinese market, and will be available globally next month. At present, Acer's first new 4741G notebook based on the GeForce GT 540M has already appeared in the domestic market.
