The company raised 8 million U.S. dollars to use VR to change the architectural and design fields


New York startup IrisVR, which creates VR tools for architects and design industries, announced that company A raised 8 million US dollars.

Iris Prospect products allow customers to translate 3D solutions and designs into visual VR experiences on the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, gear vr and Cardboard. At the same time, Iris Scope products are the mobile phones that transfer panoramic images to the VR experience.

At present, the company's products are still in beta testing. The official version is expected to be released before the end of the year, and Iris VR claims that their products have been downloaded from 108 countries.


This round of investment was led by Emergence Capital and its partner Kevin Spain joined IrisVR’s board of directors. Indicator Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Valar Ventures, Azure Capital Partners, Locke Mountain Ventures and Morningside Group participated in the company's total capital of US$10 million.
