The CS42L52 uses Cirrus Logic's recently introduced low-power audio CODEC innovation design technology to create an on-chip negative supply voltage. Utilizing the ground center output, the CS42L52 reduces start-up popping, improves low frequency response, and removes expensive, space-consuming DC blocking capacitors. This reduces costs, simplifies product design, and makes the product smaller. This CODEC also improves support for the main clock, including standard audio frequencies, USB and video clocks. This limitation of the number of clocks in the system provides designers with a flexible and low power solution.
